The iControl™ trademark and products are owned by TMT Services and Supplies (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Kapsch TrafficCom AG.
iControl™ was developed over 5 years in a response to the need for reliable, but flexible traffic detection suitable for adaptive traffic control. Adaptive or Intelligent traffic control systems require a higher level of reliability, accuracy and richness of data, because the decision performance is directly proportional to the data that is fed into the system.
iControl™ has been developed by top engineers and scientists and inspired by experienced traffic engineers and installers. TMT Services and Supplies (Pty) Ltd has their own installation and maintenance division who are experienced in a variety of detectors, controllers and other roadside equipment. TMT Services and Supplies (Pty) Ltd also provide consulting and traffic engineering services in the field of freeway management, urban traffic control and adaptive control.
iControl™ was developed according to the same quality and precision that the TMT Services and Supplies (Pty) Ltd SafeTcam product is made. The SafeTcam uses an early version of the iControl radar sensor for automated camera speed enforcement.
The accuracy of the SafeTcam and specifically the iControl™ sensor has been acclaimed through formal homologation and years of field operation and finally scrutinized through the legal system.
We believe iControl™ is not another radar, but rather a highly integrated traffic sensor system delivering performance, reliability and accuracy into the future.
